Due to recent happenings, the events sector has faced continual uncertainty. The pandemic completely disrupted many agencies' plans, and even modified digital events’ business model.

SOMOS Experiences can boast that it managed to overcome this complex situation by keeping its ambition of becoming one of the most noteworthy event agencies in the country alive.

The adversity posed by the pandemic created an opportunity for the company to explore different paths and acquire new accounts that would have never otherwise happened. The company's constant and arduous work to adapt to reality's demands bore fruit. SOMOS Experiences can boast that since 2019 it has grown up to 75%, and it expects to continue growing throughout 2023.

We wanted to get to know this growth in depth, so we talked to SOMOS Experiences CEO César González, who told us about the company's values and purposes. 

“Our values are based on talent, commitment, and enthusiasm. We are lucky to carry out such an incredible profession, and I think it is well complemented by people's talent, and that they work in a pleasant environment that excites them” he explains.

César defines the company's philosophy as being focused on people, both in employee experience and in client experience. “For us, people are our designers and creators, they carry out our project’s day-to-day tasks. We work to build trust and closeness with the client so that they feel they are a real extension of the department.”

Betting on the Metaverse

In 2021 SOMOS Experiences decided to enter the world of the Metaverse and took a bet on a still-developing technology where social interest has been growing even though audiences are not yet on board. “If we want to be a benchmark for the sector I think we have an obligation to be attentive and to be involved in any initiative that occurs in parallel industries.”

“We were the first agency to have its office in the Metaverse back in November 2021 and since then we have been producing interesting projects for some of our main clients, and these form part of our daily tasks. The whole NFT thing, Token… they're opening up new opportunities. Above all, we need to be aware of what point the sector is at and have the necessary knowledge to take appropriate measures at all times. And hopefully, time will define things more clearly. 

This dynamic is complemented by the company's purposes. Its main challenge for 2023 is to strengthen and grow in important areas that have been becoming increasingly popular. «In 2023 we need to grow stronger and be super positive- it's in our DNA. All the indicators allow us to think positively, ”concludes Cesar.
