After a resounding success in 2023, Audi and the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation (RFEDI) once again entrusted SOMOS Experiences with managing the 16th edition of one of the most important national junior ski competitions. To achieve this, specific teams in the agency headed back to six of the nation’s major ski slopes to take care of the complete organisation and management of the circuit.

With this event, Audi and the RFEDI are committing to the future of youth skiing in Spain, a message that they want to convey through their communication channels. In order to achieve this, we designed a communication plan that encompassed both social media management as well as press, website and mass mailing management.

Regarding social media management, we developed a content plan specific to each competition, offering varying dynamics to ensure both real time coverage of each race as well as consistent content on each of their channels. Also, for the first time ever, we launched the first TikTok account for the competition, which proved popular among users.

At press level, our goal was to spread awareness of the competition organically, and we achieved that thanks to the services of PR & Press Office teams, which included writing and sending press releases, media relations and interview management.

Furthermore, we handled website management as well as writing and designing various mass mail campaigns aimed at clubs and stations where the competition was being held. The goal here was to encourage them to promote the competition themselves and all the activities happening around them, thus attracting more audiences to the ski resort.

This year, we achieved a greater media presence, with more than 100 mentions, expanding our reach to the general press, such as La Vanguardia, and getting coverage in new agencies such as EuropaPress, as well as more major national sports media outlets such as Marca and Mundo Deportivo. Furthermore, the Audi Quattro Cup community has continued to grow larger and larger thanks to our social media management.
