DIGITAL CELEBRATION OF TELEFÓNICA'S CENTENARY

A digital action to connect all employees of the group.

100 years is not a birthday every day, so Telefónica wanted to share this special milestone with all the group's employees, regardless of their location.

To do so, we created an interactive web application so that all Telefónica employees could digitally blow out a birthday candle on the company's own birthday, April 19, 2024.

We developed the interactive functionality that allowed employees to blow out the birthday candle. The candle flame was moving and, in order to blow it out, the employee had to blow the microphone of his device, whether mobile, desktop or tablet. After blowing out the flame, a message of thanks for being part of the present and the future of the company was displayed.

An application developed in 3 languages, Spanish, English and Portuguese, with the aim of encouraging the participation and inclusion of all the people from the different locations around the world.

Small steps that lead to a great union.

To immortalize this unique and unrepeatable moment, in which all employees joined together to celebrate the occasion, a selfie was taken with the candle, which they could download in their photo gallery. And if they so wished, employees could participate in the creation of a mural depicting the logo designed for this anniversary.

The action had a very positive impact: more than 12,200 people logged into the application to blow out the birthday candle and more than 3,000 photos were sent to the mural.
